The Gravity Media team arrived in New Zealand on Monday 9 November 2020 to facilitate the production of cricket by assisting Whisper on their chapter: New Zealand Cricket with Spark Sport and TVNZ.
Gravity Media is delighted to be working alongside Whisper as the teams have completed four series so far! The series included three 20/20 games and two test matches which saw the Black Caps take home the number one ranked team.
The team then had a short break where they then completed 54 Super Smash 20/20 games for both men and women. These games saw the Canterbury Magicians crowned champions of the Women’s Final and the Wellington Firebirds champions of the Men’s Final.
The Gravity Media team then returned to complete the international series with five 20/20 games against Australia which saw a series win for the Black Caps. The White Ferns took on the English women with three ODI games and three 20/20 games where the English women won both series.
The cricket action was not over yet as the Gravity Media team telecast the final of the Ford Trophy ODI which saw Canterbury crowned as champions!
It has been a great team effort all round to make this a huge success as well as a great result for Gravity Media! The team was able to use its knowledge of vest technology from SportCom enabling players to wear the vests on the field with the IFB and microphone making it easier when they are playing.

On Friday 27 November, the first production from Whisper’s Auckland office went on air as the team produced live coverage of the first game of the 2020 New Zealand Cricket Men’s International Season with Spark Sport.
The season commenced with a T20I and Test series against West Indies (WI vs NZL), which kicked off at Eden Park at 19:00hrs local time (6:00hrs GMT). Following the three T20Is, the teams will play two Tests as part of the ICC World Test Championship.
