Gravity Media, a global leader in production and content and media services and facilities, recently provided end-to-end technical facilities for a landmark New Year’s Eve concert at New Eve Boulevard E-Game Square in Riyadh, delivering a world-class live production viewed across the Middle East and beyond.

Produced by Premium Projects (Germany) for Ad Dimension, a subsidiary of the Jeddah-based event management and PR company Benchmark, the concert featured a 60-piece orchestra alongside well-renowned Egyptian artist Angham Mohamed Ali Suleiman, with a special guest performance from global superstar Toni Braxton.

Broadcast live in UHD format, the event aired on MBC and across over 10 digital channels in the region, attracting millions of viewers as part of Saudi Arabia’s famous New Year celebrations.

Gravity Media deployed its fully equipped NOVA 101 outside broadcast truck and delivered a highly complex multi-camera setup comprising 23 cameras, including Sony HDC-3500 as the main camera system. The production also incorporated a wide range of specialist and robotic cameras to capture dynamic angles, including Agito and Furio robotics, Sony FR7 auto pods and track-mounted units, LUNA wire cam, Jimmy Jib, Steadicam, RF cameras, Sony FX3 and P50 cameras, Marshall minicams, and drone coverage.

A Gravity Media technical crew of 20 supported the delivery, collaborating closely with the international production team to ensure seamless execution across live broadcast and digital platforms.

The announcement comes as Gravity Media Arabia successfully delivered a major project under the expanded technical team, The Six Kings Slam, a premier men’s tennis exhibition tournament produced by IMG. Held at the ANB Arena in Riyadh from 15th–18th October as part of Riyadh Season, the event marked its first-ever global live stream on Netflix. 

Gravity Media provided full technical production facilities and crew, deploying its UHD OB unit NOVA 101 to deliver a seamless live broadcast. The production featured an advanced multi-camera setup integrating RED V-Raptor cinematic systems, Canon Cine-servo lenses, and Sony HDC series cameras, supported by a 45-strong technical team managing vision, audio, RF, and engineering.

Part of the Riyadh Season and now in its second year, the event brought together six of the world’s top tennis players for three days of elite competition in front of 8,000 fans. This year marked a significant milestone as The Six Kings Slam was streamed live globally on Netflix for the very first time.

Gravity Media Arabia supported IMG’s production with its UHD OB facility NOVA 101 to host to a crew of technical experts and equipped with cutting-edge technology to deliver an exceptional live broadcast experience to audiences around the world.

The setup featured a total of 26 cameras, including 4 RED V-Raptor XLX large-format sensor cinematic cameras with RED Cine-Broadcasting Solution, providing stunning shallow depth of field and full RCP colour shading functionality for live production. Two more RED V-Raptor XLs were also configured as RF cameras using bespoke hardware by Gravity Media RF Division providing increased flexibility and dynamic coverage of the court.

Complemented by a suite of Canon Cine-servo series lenses the RED systems worked seamlessly alongside Sony HDC-3500 and HDC-5500v cameras. Canons renowned BOX lenses enhanced with their latest NOVEL look optical technology provided an enhanced image experience for viewers while allowing high frame rate workflows from the Sony cameras.

A dedicated on-site crew of 45 Gravity Media professionals managed all aspects of the technical operation, from vision and audio to RF and engineering, ensuring a flawless broadcast for both in-venue and global audiences.
