After a long day exhibiting at the SMPTE Conference, Gearhouse Broadcast and EVS co-hosted a function at The Pumphouse, to celebrate EVS’ new XT3 and Gearhouse’s new OB fleet.

Gearhouse Broadcast is expanding its facilities, utilising progressive technologies to meet the diverse requirements of the ever-evolving television industry.

The international rugby series was a huge event that saw our HD1 and HD4 outside broadcast vehicles linked together, providing feeds for host broadcaster Fox Sports, as well as Nine’s Wide World Of Sports and Nine News.

Gearhouse worked with Freehand Productions on Series 4 of the Australian edition of this global petrol-head institution.

The staff at GHB was rapt to record The Cure’s two performances at the Vivid Sydney festival. GHB’s HD4 outside broadcast truck facilitated the broadcast with nine cameras, two dollies, a jib and 13 VTRs.

Gearhouse Broadcast Qatar and associate company AV Tech were awarded the contract to upgrade the technical infrastructure at four football stadia in Doha, Qatar – Al Gharaffa, Al Rayyan, Al Sadd Sports Club and the Qatar Sports Club.

Mediahouse, a division of IMG Worldwide, the global sports, fashion and media company, selected Gearhouse Broadcast’s Systems Integration division to deliver two new London-based high-definition studios which are used by the BBC’s The Football League Show and ESPN’s Premier League matches. This build brings the total number of HD studios at Mediahouse to four.

After competing in a fully competitive tendering process, Gearhouse Broadcast’s Systems Integration division was awarded the contract to upgrade Astro’s studio facilities in Kuala Lumpur to accommodate HD productions.
