ABOUT THE ROLE

A BRIEF SUMMARY

The Engineering Assistant – Workshop supports the Gravity Media Workshop team with testing, checking, and preparing a wide range of broadcast camera, video and server equipment under the guidance of senior workshop staff.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

All employees are expected to contribute and participate in work activities in line with our management system to ensure the continual improvement of our business.

  • Assisting with general checking and testing of all types of broadcast equipment under supervision.
  • Carrying out equipment cleaning to ensure professional presentation and readiness for use.
  • Performing minor repairs such as tightening screws, reseating connectors, or other simple mechanical fixes.
  • Supporting senior workshop staff in the preparation and organisation of equipment across rental, projects, and broadcast operations.
  • Learning and performing fault-finding tasks on broadcast equipment, with guidance from experienced workshop engineers.
  • Ensuring workspaces remain clean, organised, and safe at all times.
