Following the success of Mission One by the Gravity Media team, the team was then set a second mission of delivering a six-camera coverage of the Madagascar vs Ivory Coast football match in Tamatave, Madagascar for the QCAN Match Day 4 also on Tuesday 17 November.

However, the challenges faced by the team included getting kit and crew on an island, whilst self-isolating with very few to no flight connections, in a city which was a 12 hour drive from the capital Antananarivo, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yet again, the mission was a great success as the wonderful Gravity Media team delivered the match successfully for the Confederation of African Football which saw Madagascar vs Ivory Coast football draw 1-1.

The Gravity Media French team was set a mission to deliver the QCAN Match Day 4, and the Togo vs Egypt football match on Tuesday 17 November for The Confederation of African FootballThis was a full production using an outside broadcast van, and 10 cameras to cover the pitch.

However, the challenge consisted of traveling from the Ivory Coast to Togo, whilst crossing Ghana and Benin’s border amid the coronavirus pandemic whilst all cities were in lockdown.

With the help from the Confederation of African Football and our onsite crew, led by Fatou Fofana, this was completed successfully! The Gravity Media team was on site to deliver perfect coverage of the match alongside our partner ABS where Egypt won 3-0 against Togo.

Esther Henseleit won December’s Magical Kenya Ladies Open to clinch the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit – becoming only the third player in the 41-year history of the LET to win the ranking and Rookie of the Year simultaneously.

The 20-year-old German produced a course-record eight-under 64 to finish one shot ahead of India’s Aditi Ashok, with overnight leader Julia Engstrom in third after a two-over 74 in the final round of the inaugural Kenyan event.

Gravity Media had been appointed as the host broadcast facilities provider for the Ladies European Tour, and was onsite at Vipingo Ridge near Mombasa to cover the 72 par, 18-hole course.

Over the four days of competition, the team produced three hours of live broadcast every day, with the production distributed across the world, including on Sky Sports and the Golf Channel.

The Baobab Course at Vipingo Ridge is Kenya’s premier golf facility, and the only PGA-accredited course in Africa, lying between the coastline and the rolling Chodari Hills inland. It was a hot and humid place to film, but offered a stunning backdrop full of fascinating wildlife.
