The Santos Tour Down Under and South Australia attracts the best men and women cycling teams and riders in the world as the opening calendar event in the UCI World Tour.

The 2026 edition of the Santos Tour Down Under saw professional cycling teams undertake eight stages, a women’s one day race and a men’s prologue in a blend of innovative and traditional courses to race nearly 1200 kilometres over 10 days across the Festival State.

From helicopters, drones and chase motorcycles to OB trucks, RF links, GlobeCam systems, and remote production from Sydney, Gravity Media helped bring the opening race of the UCI World Tour to screens around Australia and the world for Seven Network and the South Australian Tourism Commission.

Gravity Media utilised a dedicated crew of 130 to cover the elite cycling event onsite in South Australia and remotely from Gravity Media’s Production Centre in Sydney.

This involved creating and delivering more than 50 hours of live broadcast coverage including daily highlights programs for domestic and international audiences, full event highlights packages, daily VNRs, and short-form digital content tailored for immediate audience engagement across online platforms.
