Last Sunday, we organised our Friends & Family Day. It was an amazing day with more than 500 colleagues, friends, and family members, including a few colleagues from the Netherlands.
There was enjoyment for everyone: studio tours, hands-on camera experiences, a bike course, live music, green screen acting, great food, refreshing drinks, and much more.
A big thank you to everyone who came along and made the day such a success!
Check out our aftermovie here and other pictures from this magnificent day!

- What is your favourite part / proudest moment at Gravity Media? My favourite part so far at working at GM so far was working on the FA Cup Final. Being part of it on my first week was quite special and seeing how much work is put in prior to the event
- What motivates you at work? As a recent graduate lots of students would love to be in the position I am. I’m motivated to not waste the opportunity and work hard.
- A tip for someone starting out in the broadcast industry? A willingness to learn and a positive attitude. No one was an expert on their first day!
- Favourite film / tv programme / sport / sports team? I’m a big sports fan such as football, F1, boxing and darts!
- What makes great TV / films? Being able to connect with an audience, there’s so many different types of films out there and they each create a connection with a certain type of person. There’s room for everyone with so many stories to tell and so many people to connect to.
Luca Saggiorato
- What is your favourite part / proudest moment at Gravity Media? My favourite part so far has been being able to see and use equipment that I wished I had the chance to use while studying at university, as well as being able to question and learn from colleagues that are very experienced and knowledgeable within this industry
- What motivates you at work? My motivation at work is the willingness to keep learning new equipment and progressing further as an Audio Engineer
- A tip for someone starting out in the broadcast industry? A tip I would give is to learn a bit of everything and to ask questions. Asking questions to those who are more knowledgeable and experienced helps to broaden your understanding and bridge gaps in your knowledge. Most important is to try your hardest at everything and attempt roles/jobs even if you aren’t 100% confident
- Favourite film / tv programme / sport / sports team? My favourite sports team is probably AC Milan since it’s where part of family is originally from and I have supported them ever since I was a child.
- What makes great TV / films? Great TV and Film are both made through exceptional planning and prep, time and most importantly teamwork, since one person can’t make the best production possible!

Monday 25 April 2022 – Gravity Media, the world leading provider of complex live broadcast facilities and production services, have further strengthened their motorsport credentials with the announcement of new world class talent, welcoming to the team experienced Executive Producer Martin Turner and former Formula 1, Formula E and Le Mans Driver, Bruno Senna, as a Motorsport Ambassador.
The news follows the recent high-profile announcement of Gravity Media’s five-year deal to provide end-to-end production broadcast for the Goodwood Season of motorsport events. Hosted by The Duke of Richmond at the Goodwood Estate, the Goodwood Season is firmly established in the English sporting and social calendar. As part of the contract, Gravity Media have been appointed to broadcast three motorsport events – the Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport (which took place on April 9th – 10th), the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard (June 23rd – 26th) and the Goodwood Revival (September 16th – 18th).
Both Turner and Senna have been heavily involved in the Goodwood project, from the initial pitch stage through to live delivery of the first event, the 79th Members’ Meeting, earlier this month.
With more than 30 years of live production and directing experience, and having led the creation of the first ever dedicated Formula 1 channel at Sky Sports, Turner remains one of the industry’s leading production minds in motorsport. Alongside his role as Head of Broadcast for the Professional Triathletes Organisation, he will work with Gravity Media as an executive producer for motorsport projects.
Turner’s experience and wealth of contacts will help to both shape the editorial direction of programming and build highly-skilled production teams for Goodwood and future projects.
Senna, currently a brand ambassador and factory driver for McLaren Racing, provides a driver’s perspective as Gravity Media’s Motorsport Ambassador, working closely with the business development and production teams to offer unique insights as to how motorsport programming can evolve.
He was also an important member of the on-screen presentation team at the Members’ Meeting, joining the live ITV programming and offering a behind-the-scenes perspective as he drove his legendary uncle Ayrton Senna’s 1990 V10 McLaren MP4/5 around the Goodwood Motor Circuit as part of a wider Formula 1 demonstration.
The Gravity Media motorsport offering has been further bolstered with Turner and Senna’s arrivals alongside the Goodwood contract win, which follows on from the motorsport pedigree of delivering the ongoing broadcast of Formula 1 highlights, Supercars and TCR Australia.
With the Gravity Media specialist cameras team ensuring innovation on track, live onboard camera systems and on-helmet capture solutions, the Gravity Media team ensures a unique driver and roadside experience unlike any other for broadcasters, production companies and live event organisers.
Martin Turner, Gravity Media – Executive Producer, Motorsport comments: “I was immediately impressed with Gravity Media’s ambitions in motorsport and it has been great to build their production plans into a full turnkey solution. I knew they had the technical expertise and innovation and was happy to bring my production experience to help complete the picture. I’ve enjoyed assembling first class production and onscreen talent teams for Goodwood and, if the excellent track output at the Members’ Meeting is anything to go by, there are plenty of exciting times ahead.”
Bruno Senna, Gravity Media – Ambassador, Motorsport adds: “It was fun to collaborate with Gravity Media on the pitch for Goodwood motorsport events and then translating that to screen at the Members’ Meeting. I really enjoyed working with the Gravity Media crew and presenters to give my insights, and also work together to make the coverage bigger and better. They have added some exciting innovation to bring fans closer to the action. It was a great weekend driving the McLaren MP4/5 around the motor circuit as part of the V10-era F1 car demo.”
Blair Wood, Gravity Media – Business Development Director, EMEA says: “Working with Martin and Bruno has been a fantastic experience for the team at Gravity Media. It isn’t just their unquestionable experience and knowledge, it is both of their enthusiasm for delivering the very best production possible. Martin has been invaluable in assembling talent, both on and off screen, and setting the editorial agenda. But he doesn’t stop there – he gets into the granular detail, ensures he spends time with crew at all levels and his energy is infectious. Likewise with Bruno, he could have just put his name to the project and sat back but he has brought a real passion to meetings and wanted to be actively involved in pitches, productions plans and then the onscreen output.”
Ed Tischler – Managing Director, EMEA comments: “This year sees us further elevate our motorsport credentials building on our current history as an innovative technical partner. We have assembled a world leading production and on-screen automotive team who can lead all our client projects. It has been a pleasure working with Martin and Bruno and, as we look to build on our end-to-end motorsport production solutions, we are looking forward to what the future may bring working on the best global motorsport events”.

Over the weekend, Fiona Burton Gravity Media’s Head of Post Production in the UK attended the first ever Rise – Women in Broadcast Retreat held in Lancaster. The 2020 Mentoring cohort was not able to meet in person at any point during the scheme and it was for this reason the retreat was such an important date in this year’s calendar.
Fiona told us how inspiring it was to see all the mentees and learn of how many of them have been able to secure promotions and gain confidence to reach for their dream job. The retreat was a wonderful weekend of meeting people in real life and forging new friendships.
Huge thanks to Rise’s fantastic leader Carrie Wootten for organising the weekend, Marina Kalkanis from M2S Media for sponsoring this fantastic initiative, and Michelle Parry for the amazing location. It’s great to see all the fabulous ladies doing great things in our industry.
Gravity Media is proud to be supporting Rise’s work, including its Rise Up education outreach programme, annual Awards, networking events, and training sessions.
