In an effort to minimise its carbon footprint and overcome the limitations of space at the venue, our teams implemented an innovative remote production concept using EMG / Gravity Media’s IP Concept Diploy Connectivity and cloud-based media control surfaces.
As a trusted partner to the World Economic Forum, EMG / Gravity Media will provide comprehensive support across various key aspects of the event’s production, ensuring its seamless execution.
The entire world feed and news coverage will be produced not from Davos, but from EMG / Gravity Media’s state of the art Remote Broadcast Centre located in Brussels, Belgium. This facility has recently undergone an extensive upgrade to support ST2100 workflows, ensuring seamless production quality.
Over 45 talented technicians and operators based in Brussels will be interconnected with the venue in Davos, Switzerland using JPXS compression technology, granting full access to all necessary broadcast devices.
This innovative approach will enable comprehensive audiovisual coverage of the event while maintaining operational efficiency and sustainability.

In oktober verzamelen het IMF en de Wereldbankengroep (WBG) in Marokko, samen met de wereldwijde financiële elite.
De Jaarlijkse Vergadering van het WBG en het IMF staat rood gemarkeerd in onze agenda; na 1,5 jaar voorbereiden zijn onze teams en faciliteiten klaar om ingezet te worden.
Dit is wereldwijd een van de belangrijkste financiële summits en het grootste congres ter wereld. Het zal plaatsvinden in een tijdelijk dorp van 50 hectare, gebouwd in de woestijn net buiten Marrakesh. Er worden meer dan 15.000 afgevaardigden verwacht: ministers, economische specialisten, NGO’s en andere stakeholders.
De cijfers die volgen zijn niet minder spectaculair. We bouwden 35 videoproductieruimtes, met elk 200 camera’s en 125 intercom posities. Dit moest bijdragen aan een immersieve visuele en auditieve ervaring voor de aanwezigen.
Er was 6.250 leden van de pers hongerig naar informatie. Daarvoor was er 120 TB geheugen voorzien waarop meer dan 5.000 mediafiles werden geplaatst. Onze 8 field-based edit stations zorgden voor een rimpelloze bestandsuitwisseling.
En last but not least, een EMG-team van 87 experts (techniekers, cameramensen en regisseurs) waren ter plaatse om dat alles, verspreid over 580 (!) events, in goede banen te leiden. Met een compleet lijnencentrum in de nieuwste broadcast IP norm ST2110, 200x TV camera’s, 40x live feeds, 7x TV studio’s en talloze stand-ups, zal de wereldpers voorzien zijn van alle broadcast services met de hoogste kwaliteit.
We leverden een oplossing volledig op maat: de klant was volledig verlicht van technische zorgen. Onze ambitie om de hoogste kwaliteit in audiovisuele services te leveren is altijd prioriteit. Dit is het resultaat van een naadloze samenwerking tussen teams, customer focus en technologische innovatie
Deze jaarvergadering van 2023 vond plaats van 9 tot 15 oktober in Marrakesh.
