Since the day we opened our doors over 30 years ago, we’ve worked on some of the biggest sporting events on the planet, supporting most of the major sports federations and many of the media organisations that deliver content on their behalf: Fox Sports, ESPN, BBC, ITV, Sky, Eurosport – and many more besides.
One of our particular areas of expertise is large-scale multisport events, where we’ve worked with organising committees, host broadcasters and other broadcast partners to bring high-quality content to billions of viewers worldwide. Recent projects span every major event imaginable, from the Olympics, Winter Olympics, Special Olympics and Paralympics, to the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and European Games.
Each event demands a sophisticated workflow that can handle multiple feeds from multiple sports in multiple venues being transmitted together to the International Broadcast Centre. Each operation therefore requires careful planning and meticulous attention to detail, culminating in a series of dedicated Production Control Rooms with dedicated production teams ‒ the equivalent of setting up and running several complex live events simultaneously.
Gravity Media also has a number of state-of-the-art Production Centres located globally that can provide full-service production capability, ranging from full live remote production to expertly crafted highlights packages. We’re geared for flexible solutions configured for multi-platform delivery, with HD studios, production galleries, commentary booths and more. Our versatile post-production facilities offer full end-to-end 4K production workflow, colour grading and motion graphics. On the road, our systems integration teams install and maintain temporary or permanent facilities at or nearby event venues, taking full care of event infrastructure and allowing broadcasters focus entirely on the business of programming.
Output includes live world feed production and fast-turnaround highlights, studio wraparounds, big-screen production at some of the world’s most iconic stadiums, high-end social media content, full production of international programming blocks, OB facilities and equipment hire for live event coverage, as well as digital archive management and storage systems. Essentially, we offer the full spectrum of support to big-ticket multisport events, from equipment rental packages to highly finessed editorial work requiring expert judgement and storytelling flair.
