Gravity Media delivered end-to-end broadcast and live production solutions for the Kings World Cup Nations, a high-energy 7-a-side football tournament that brings together elite competition and creator-led entertainment. Featuring former professional players, influencers and content creators, the event saw 16 national teams compete under the distinctive Kings League format.

A landmark event in Italy

The inaugural Kings World Cup Nations – the first Kings League competition staged in Italy – kicked off at the Kings League Arena in Milan, before concluding with the final at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

Created by former footballer Gerard Piqué, the Kings League format is designed for younger, digital-first audiences. The tournament reached 100 million viewers and generated 1.5 billion social media impressions.

Matches streamed globally across Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok and Facebook, alongside traditional broadcast coverage in more than 60 countries. In Italy, matches aired live on Sky Sport channels, including Sky Sport Max and TV8.

A format built for creators and fans

Each team was led by a president, a content creator with an established audience, delivering live pitch-side commentary alongside the on-field action. Gravity Media supported this creator-driven model by producing multiple live feeds for presidents and streamers, alongside international broadcasts in English, Italian and Spanish.

Innovative match rules, including 40-minute games, shootouts, “presidential” penalties and special in-game cards, created a faster pace than traditional football and demanded a highly responsive production approach.

Gravity Media’s role

Gravity Media delivered full broadcast services for the Kings League Italy and the Kings World Cup Nations, managing live production, international distribution and technical delivery throughout the tournament.

Around 20 cameras captured the action, combining broadcast cameras with micro-cameras behind the goals, PTZ units and a lightweight drone. The compact pitch and fast gameplay informed camera placement, enabling dynamic coverage tailored for both broadcast and streaming audiences.

Production was coordinated from a permanent control room, supported by external technical areas managing audio, video, lighting and LED walls. Two additional control rooms handled Italian and Spanish unilateral feeds, with dedicated pre- and post-match commentary studios. Live feeds were distributed to around 60 international broadcast partners via SRT streams.

Inside the Kings League Arena

The 6,000 sqm Kings League Arena was configured as a modern, broadcast-ready football venue, combining dynamic lighting, large-scale LED walls and augmented reality graphics. More than 40 Gravity Media professionals supported the production, covering field operations, audio, lighting and VAR.

With seating for approximately 400 spectators, the arena delivered an intimate live experience, while dynamic camera angles, drone shots and interactive visuals ensured a polished, high-impact broadcast for global audiences.
