Sporting Federations

Serving the elite.

Sports Federations

As well as being engaged by professional broadcasters and producers, a great number of our sports projects come directly from federations and associations ‒ particularly when we’re commissioned to cover one sport in multiple formats over the course of a season.

Some of our most familiar sporting federation clients include the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), The Football Association (FA), Fédération Française de Tennis (FFT), International Tennis Federation (IFT), Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA), International Boxing Association (AIBA), Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA), International Hockey Federation (FIH), Qatar National Olympic Committee (QOC), Cricket Australia, Rugby Australia and Tennis Australia.

Our work for these organisations echoes our live and near-live sports broadcasting and production activity for commercial enterprises, and we’re also regularly commissioned for post-produced programming, such as preview and review programmes for each round of The FA Cup; a highlights programme for the French Open tennis; and highlights packages for the Davis Cup and Fed Cup after each competition weekend – work that requires a high degree of editorial judgement and storytelling flair.

Our current support to UEFA involves both Champions League and Europa League, where we produce instant highlights feeds for rights-holding broadcasters around the world, as well as a full set of ready-to-air highlights programmes, digital clips, commentaries and QC monitoring of every match in both competitions. And at EURO 2016, we delivered Technical Operations Centres (TOCs) at each of the ten venues, as well as specialist cameras and an EVS slow-motion operations facility, alongside a central Cable Interconnection Room (CIR).

Another good example is our work for AIBA. Since 2013, we’ve been supporting its individual host broadcast coverage of boxing events globally, providing English-language commentary and graphics to all the feeds, and live-streaming them to territories where AIBA’s rights have not been sold exclusively to broadcasters. The Production Centre in London hosts each project, making available our extensive community of broadcast commentators, alongside talented in-house designers who deliver fresh and dynamic graphics for each show.
